The 2026 Virginia Cat Festival will be held November 7-8 in Williamsburg, Virginia at the Greater Williamsburg Sports and Events Center. Mark your calendar right MEOW!

It’s a celebration of all things cats! Programming includes an exhibitor marCATplace, workshops, cat adoptions, meet-and-greets, and tons of cat-themed activities. Still curious? Check out an overview of last year’s programming!

Tickets go on sale July 1 and will be available for purr-chase on our website. Subscribers to our mews-letter will receive the link in their inbox, along with event announcements and cute cat pics. You can sign up for our mews-letter on the homepage of our website.

Yes! In addition to applying to be an exhibitor, businesses and organizations may get involved by sponsoring a raffle prize. 100% of raffle ticket proceeds are donated to nonprofit animal welfare organizations. Click here fur full details.

Yes! Cat experts, advocates, and individuals with extensive experience volunteering in the cat community are welcome to reach out about presenting at this year’s event. Please use the contact form below to get in touch and include a brief description of your qualifications, as well as the topic and format of the presentation you’d like to offer.

No, we will not have a volunteer team at the 2026 event. Thanks for your interest!
CATS

Yes! Cats and hoo-mans will be featured in the event’s meet-and-greet area throughout the day. Our nonprofit partners will have adoptable cats and attendees may bring their cats (please read the requirements carefully!).

Yes! Cats are welcome at the festival. Cats must be comfortable in busy environments and must remain on a leash or in a stroller, carrier, or cat backpack at all times. If this would be your cat’s first festival experience, we strongly recommend leaving them at home.
Attendees bringing a cat must register their cat in advance and sign a waiver. They also must bring all supplies their cat will need such as a litter box, food, and water. Full details will be available when tickets go on sale July 1.

Yes! We partner with local and regional nonprofit organizations to offer cat adoptions during the event. Full details about adoption requirements will be available when tickets go on sale July 1.
ABOUT THE VACF

Yes! At the 2025 event, a portion of ticket sales was donated to the six nonprofit animal welfare organizations that paw-ticipated. Additionally, the festival held a prize raffle with 100% of the ticket sales benefiting those organizations. We’ll continue fundraising to support cats in need in 2026!

This festival is all about celebrating cats and cultivating community among the people who love them. Our goal is to create a fun, safe, and welcoming atmosphere for everyone involved regardless of age, gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or nationality.
Participants agree to be considerate in their speech and actions to other guests and event staff. Any form of harassment or threatening behavior will not be tolerated. Anyone found to have been engaged in harassment, threats, or willful disruption will have their festival badge revoked without a refund and removed from the venue.
By purchasing and picking up a Virginia Cat Festival badge, participants agree to the festival’s Code of Conduct.
